So we survived our first craft show!! It went well, sold some stuff and meet some very talented people. Had friendly booth buddies too. Now we have to get ready for the craft show at Black Lagoon Gallery on December 11th! We hope to see you guys there, its a great opprotunity to get in some handmade christmas shopping and all the items being sold are less then 100$. Pretty sweet!

A Memo From Momma
It has taken me a while to absorb all the great stuff I saw at festival.
One of the most surprising was when the quilt angel I was talking to flipped up the corner of one of the big winners of the show and underneath where the binding was attached, was a row of decorative MACHINE stitches.
In the year 1 B. C. when I started quilting nothing was ever done by machine, it made everything take forever and I could never really cut loose and do what I wanted. I love the new attitudes in quilting that allows us all to let our creative juices flow!

A Memo from Momma
International Quilt Festival Starts today! I can't wait to learn new tips and techniques and shop for all the new stuff. I will be posting my pictures soon!
Quilts make great Christmas gifts. It is like giving a warm hug! Lap quilts are esp. good gifts you can cuddle up in them, take them along to sporting events and concerts in the park, or you can use the as art for your walls and furniture. Quilts last and are often handed down in families, 100 year old quilts are not that uncommon and they keep their value. A very special and classy gift!
Love,
Mom
